Greetings to Sol Maria from a childhood friend

Last weekend I went to a memorial for Daniel Del Solar, an old friend who died this winter.  The event was a gathering of the many people who knew and loved Daniel, including several people from Nicaragua.  This is a photo of Nicole Landau, daughter of Greg Landau and Grandaughter of Nina Serrano and Sol Landau.  Greg was a graduate student in my department at the Univerisity of California San Diego.  He was a member of Grupo Mancotal, one of the best music groups in Nicaragua during the 1980s and lived in Managua for many years.

Nicole recalled fondly her "playdates"with young Sol Maria in Managua as well as San Diego. She sends her greetings to Sol.
